Alan Moore is a Director of the International Centre at NUST MISiS and host of the prime time radio show Capital Sports on Moscow's Capital FM. He has been a professional journalist since 1990 and won awards for his sports writing in Ireland and Canada. He commentated at the FIFA World Cup in 2018, covering all games at the Luzhniki Stadium, as well as being the English voice of Moscow for the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017.
After graduating UCD in Ireland he was a professional footballer and International boxer while continuing to work in education and media. He made history while studying at Maynooth University in Ireland, by organising the 1st ever women's amateur boxing match in Ireland in 1998 and launching the career of global sports star Katie Taylor. He was part of the 20x20 campaign for improved coverage of female sports in media coverage and currently serves as Media and Communications Officer for Gaelic Games Europe.
